DESCRIBE HOW YOU BOTH MET & THE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL

Luke and I met dancing on the fields at Meredith Music Festival listening to Paul Kelly. Luke proposed 7 years later on the beach in Manly after a day of swimming, eating fish’n’chips and ice cream.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY!

It was a small intimate wedding of 126 guests on a private property in Flinders. The property is an olive grove with an old converted shearing shed. Guests were treated to champagne and canapes followed by a 2 course sit down ‘share’ style dinner followed by roving dessert, cheese and espresso martini’s to get the party started.

DESCRIBE THE STYLE OF YOUR WEDDING

We wanted something very natural and textural that complemented the rustic ‘shearing shed’ we used olive branches from the grove, natives and neutral tones. Gold highlights through our cutlery and décor.

DESCRIBE THE MOMENT YOU FOUND YOUR WEDDING DRESS

I knew walking into the Suzanne Harward showroom that I wasn’t going to leave empty handed, it was absolutely breathtaking and to be honest I couldn’t decide which one I liked the most. I’m also very passionate about supporting Australian Designers, Suzanne Harward has been evolving her collections over the past 42 years! There was no other choice.

WHAT SONG DID YOU CHOOSE FOR YOUR FIRST DANCE, & WHY?

Luke and I are private people so we opted out of the ‘first dance’ we thought we had got away with it until we were forced into a circle and told to do an Irish jig – lucky for us we had the moves!

ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES?

Enjoy every moment… oh and make sure you have a mini-moon and a honeymoon so you get two holidays, trust me you’ll need it.
