Ashleigh & Adam: Baie Wines, Featured on Ivory Tribe

Ashleigh was every bit magical in her custom Suzanne Harward Gown as she and Adam celebrated their nuptials on the Bellarine Peninsula at Baie Wines. Featured on Ivory Tribe.

Adam and Ashleigh are stellar decision-makers. After Adam popped the question, to a very surprised Ashleigh, they wasted no time in planning their special day. Opting to celebrate at beautiful Baie Wines on the sublime Bellarine Peninsula resulted in a picture-perfect celebration the couple and their guests will always remember.

With their sweet ceremony a highlight, they couldn’t wait to meet each other at the end of the aisle and exchange their promises to each other. The couple then danced into the night surrounded by their favourite people, and now reflecting on their day, they know that they absolutely wouldn’t change a thing.

There to capture the day in all it’s glory was the talented Alex Motta.

In Ashleigh’s words…

The meeting.

Through mutual friends at an Australia Day BBQ.

The one.

Travelling the world for an entire year together in 2015, and surviving broken noses, stolen passports, lost luggage and missed flights definitely cemented our relationship

The proposal.

We went away for our anniversary, Adam had planned it all out and I had zero idea! I was blown away when he got on one knee!

The process.

We got a lot of the big things planned really quickly such as venue, caterer, dress, suit, photographer and videographer, then did nothing for 10 months.  We then had a mad scramble to do the rest in the last 10 weeks! I wouldn’t advise doing it this way.

Style inspiration.

We wanted a big party that still looked like a wedding! Pretty and relaxed, and not too rustic.

The outfits.

Ashleigh: My dress was a hard decision, I liked so many styles it was hard to commit, in the end Suzanne Harward were amazing in creating something from scratch for me and it was exactly everything I had imagined.

Adam: I always new I wanted my suit made, P Johnson have amazing relaxed tailoring and quality.

Favourite moments.

In the end it was the ceremony for both of us, right when we first met at the end of the aisle, which was what we were both the most nervous about in the lead up. We also both loved straight after the ceremony when we could talk to one another and joke around with out friends and family

The meaning of marriage.

Officially committed!!

Wedding soundtrack.

Aisle: Sunday Smile by Beirut for the bridesmaids and Victim of Love by Charles Bradley.

Reception entry:  Can’t get enough of your love by Barry White.

First Dance : This must be the place by Talking Heads.

NYE : Call me Al by Paul Simon.

Funny stories (or near disasters).

We are both accident and disaster prone but fortunately everything went so smoothly in the lead up and on the day!

Planning surprises.

How many little details there are to work out that you wouldn’t even know existed!!

Words of wisdom.

ELOPE! No, joking! But be organised and keep it about the two of you, and what you enjoy, not what you think it should be and what is expected! Also there will be details that you think are so important but on the day you won’t even notice them!

Last words.

We chose all our suppliers not only by their work, but also how comfortable they made us feel when we were first dealing with them. They were all amazing and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
